A young sales person from a Pollinate Energy, a social enterprize that has been selling solar systems to slum dwellers in North Bangalor India, attempts to help the urban poor in develpoing nations. Salesmen rarley sell anything on their first visit to a slum because the residents in India are skeptical of consumer goods in India. For these residents it is a great risk to pay 400 rupies over 6 months for the solar power on such a small salary. While most residents can afford a cell phone, usually indicating a rise from poverty, they have next to no access to electricity. This effort to allow urban slums access to solar power is a way to skip right over dirty fossile fules and move directly to clean energy in these areas.
