U.N. Approves global arms trade treaty

In a landslide vote (155 to 3) the U.N. approved a treaty focused on regulating the global arms trade. The 3 votes that were casted to throw out the treaty were from Iran, North Korea, and Syria. These three nations are currently under U.N. arms embargoes. The treaty has the capability to significantly regulate arms trade globally while not infringing on U.S. citizens Second Amendment rights domestically. The treaty will be up for signing on June 3rd, and be enforced 90 days after it receives it's 50th signature. The treaty is aimed at reducing the prevalence of arms trafficking to warlords and dictators around the world.
