Chinese Man Found Guilty of Trading US Secrets to China

A Chinese national has been found guilty in the U.S. court system of transmitting military trade secrets to China. The accused, Liu Sixing, was convicted of sending information to China regarding missiles, rockets, and drones that he had acquired from computer files. Sixing was a former employee of L-3 Communications in the U.S., and the computer files were discovered during his employment at Newark Liberty International airport. He maintained his innocence, but was ultimately sentenced to five years in prison. Sixing hoped that his allegiance would secure him later employment in China.
