A tourist bus carrying more than 30 people blown up in Sinai killing at least three people. This has been the first attack on tourists in Egypt in the last thirty years. Up to this point, militants have been attacking security forces and leaving tourists alone. This attack suggests they may be broadening their scope to include civilians. No one has taken responsibility for the attack as of yet, but if militant groups, no matter who they are, start to target civilians, it could cost Egypt heavily economically. tourism is a source of millions of jobs in Egypt. Hisham Zaazou, the country's tourist minister, upon hearing about the attacks, issued a statement saying, "I am very sorry this happened...This will not reoccur."
