The Non-Scandal of Special Operations Forces

This post discusses Special Operations Forces from the United States being stationed all around the world. The article states that there are Special Ops forces stationed in over 100 different countries around the world and that the secrecy surrounding there whereabouts and reasoning for being in those locations is being brought into question by some groups. This article states that there are legitimate reasons the U.S. has Special Forces around the world, but due to the nature of their work, not many details can be given as to what it is exactly that they do. An example of what these types of forces do is given in the situation with Special forces in Jordan. Jordan's prime minister said that the country is hosting roughly 900 U.S. special forces in order to strengthen it's defense to ensure they are not brought into trouble involving the Syrian Civil War. This is just one example of why the United States has these forces stationed throughout the world. I think this is a compelling article as to the necessity of the forces and I believe that for good reason we do not know many details about them, but that they are working to protect us from potential threats.
