Merkel: US Diplomat's Words "Totally Unacceptable"

Angela Merkel, a German Chancellor, recently called Victoria Nuland's comments regarding the European Union absolutely unacceptable. According to reports a voice sounding like Nuland's, who is the top ambassador for the Ukraine in the United States, allegedly said F- The EU in a phone call that was recorded and later released to the public. The discussion was in regards to the protests and other issues that have been occurring in Ukraine over the past several weeks and seems to suggest that the United States doesn't value the European Union's opinion or concerns in this matter. I would have to agree with Merkel on this because I also couldn't believe this statement was made and it leads you to wonder if this is a normal type of discussion that would take place regarding our foreign affairs. Since these conversations are usually done in private it makes you wonder what the public doesn't know regarding US policies especially in regards to international matters.
