Homeland Chief says Syria a U.S. domestic security concern.

Jeh Johnson, homeland secretary says “Syria has become a matter of homeland security”.in fact the Syrian crisis has soared into an extreme bloody situation. Started as a protest and emerged into revolution and now to a civil war opposing Bachard Al Assad’s government to the rebel groups. As the rebel groups are extending “individuals from the west respectively U.S, Canada and Europe are going to Syria to take part in the conflict. According to Jeh Johnson this situation constitutes a major threat to domestic security as those individuals will return back home with radical ideas. In fact, Johnson , is worrying about the setbacks of such actions in a sense that these individuals may be brainwashed before coming back home , and that in return they will constitute a danger to national security by either bombing or carrying out other terrorist actions. Johnson made his concerns along with six European countries based on research made by his agency, FBI and the other six countries.

The second part of the article focuses on the comprehensive approach to immigration. It seems to me that Johnson is supporting the new immigration system that wants to register illegal immigrants in a process of compliance to the law which will lead them to the Citizenship. The process is seen by its advocates as a comprehensive approach to deal with the issue of illegal immigrants (a number set at 11million).It is a good initiative to get people to register and in compliance with the law because it reduces crimes and increases tax revenues. Furthermore, it is an approach that will promote human rights as it helps decrease exploitation.
