Swiss referendum restricts immigration

In Switzerland, a referendum restricting immigration to the country has made it over the 50% in favor mark needed to pass (with 50.3% voting yes).  This will restrict immigration from the EU by imposing quotas (invalidating prior agreements with the EU to allow freedom of movement).  The passing of this referendum could cause problems with future negotiations between Switzerland and the EU, possibly in Switzerland's access to markets in the EU.
