Protests, violence continue in Venezuela

Venezuela's young population again clashed with security forces on Friday as a result of the countries failing economy. A major highway in Caracas was blocked by hundreds of protestors. In a nationally televised speech given on Friday, president of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro stated that he was launching a national plan for peace and coexistence. State and military leaders are supposed to work in tandem to crack down on these protests and violence at their base. There is an obvious discontent with the government and the government views these protestors as an enemy. The inflation in Venezuela is at 56.2% which is the highest in the world.
