American Flags Popping Up in Cuba

American flag attire and flags are being displayed throughout Cuba. The only place where one cannot find an American flag is outside the old United States Embassy that closed in 1961 when the United States and Cuba’s relations broke. The amount of American flag wear in Cuba displays how although there has been conflict between the United States and Cuba, the civilians of Cuba did not lose their friendliness toward Americans and still feel a connection to American culture. Although not everyone is welcoming of the American flag many people are and it is apparent. People believe that the expression of the America flag would not be as evident if Fidel Castro was still in charge instead of Raúl. The countries are talking of when to reopen the embassies.
