Moratorium on executions in the modern world.

In the modern world we live in, a death execution by the order of a court could have different repercussions. Pakistan, a developing country trapped in the web of terrorism had put forth a moratorium on executions after constant pressure from Human Rights and the European Union in 2008. Prior to the moratorium, the idea of execution at the hands of law not only kept the crimes such as murder and rape under control, but also had the wrong doers think twice before committing any hideous acts as that would rid them of their life. However, with such laws lifted in the favor of criminals and terrorists, a country like Pakistan which is battling multiple frontiers inevitably becomes a harboring place for terrorists and criminals.
Last year a deadly attack on a military school in Peshawar claimed lives of many innocent children. Enraged by this, the chief of Army Staff urged the moratorium to be lifted so that the terrorists which have been already caught in the previous terrorism related activities could be executed and punished so as to set an example and send a message to others. Again, the UN and EU have urged Pakistan to reconsider their decision. This has provoked the feelings of the people of Pakistan especially youth who took on to twitter and expressed their feelings in the following manner "Dear UN/EU, since you are having so much problem with Pakistan executing their criminals, why don't you take these criminals/ terrorists to your countries and grant them citizenship so that justice could be served better for such people". Such statements show that people in Pakistan are really tired of the biased attitude of UN along with EU when it comes to eliminating terrorism from our country. What's even worse is that so many lives are taken by drone wars which kill children and women, why do such organizations sit idle then? The crux of the problem is that when its a problem of a developing country, its only their problem, but when its a problem of a developed country, it suddenly becomes everyone's problem.
