In light of the events developing in Yemen, the UN Security Council has responded with a resolution that places an arms embargo on Houthi rebels. The Council had a final vote with 14 votes in favor with one abstention from Russia. Russia's reasoning is that the resolutions embargo should have extended to the entire country, however even with this abstention from one of the permanent members the resolution passed. This resolution also blacklists a few of the key leaders and members of the rebel group.
