So basically Africa is having huge issues with poachers and have decided to train their own elite group of "park rangers" to help fight off the poachers. According to the article this area of Africa (Chad) used to have over 50,000 elephants roaming around and now has only about five hundred that are remaining, but since the end of 2011 no elephants have been poached within the park grounds so apparently the rangers are doing a pretty good job fighting off the poachers.
