So in early March there were five women arrested by the Chinese government for there campaign for gender equality. They were going to protest on March 8th which is also international women's day. They now may face up to a maximum of five years in prison for their opinion. They are charged with provoking trouble in the country. With many countries around the world are saying that they should let them go because the girls do have a freedom of speech. Also in recent news that two of the girls being obtained are in not so good health. In addition they were going to protest sexual harassment against them. My opinion on this is that the Chinese government is really making themselves look pretty bad. The government is basically saying that it is okay for men to sexually harass women and get away with it. I mean like the article says the women were not doing anything illegal they just want to voice their to be heard. Also yes I think men should be thrown in jail instead of staying free for sexually harassing a women and continue doing so.
