Boko Haram, a militant terrorist group in Nigeria has killed thousands of people by attacking villages, schools, mosques, and even churches. Their goal is to "impose a stricter form of Sharia law across Nigeria, which is split between a majority Muslim north and a Christian south." Resulting from these attacks are 192,000 people seeking shelter from the terrorist group. Responding to this crisis, the U.N. has appealed for $174M for helping and providing food, shelter, and water to the victims.
