Nigerian refugees: U.N. appeals for $174M for victims of Boko Haram

Boko Haram, a militant terrorist group in Nigeria has killed thousands of people by attacking villages, schools, mosques, and even churches.  Their goal is to "impose a stricter form of Sharia law across Nigeria, which is split between a majority Muslim north and a Christian south."  Resulting from these attacks are 192,000 people seeking shelter from the terrorist group.  Responding to this crisis, the U.N. has appealed for $174M for helping and providing food, shelter, and water to the victims.
