North Korea says Syria airstrikes prove its nukes justified

In the aftermath of the recent US ordered precision airstrikes against Syria, the Korean Central News Agency announced North Koreas plans to pursue further nuclear weaponization and generally strengthen their country's defenses. These statements came from an undisclosed party official, and claimed the nuclear devices to be a necessity to the country's safety in regards to President Donald Trump's actions, likening them to reckless acts of war and aggression. Although the White House has repeatedly denied any plans to invade North Korea, the party official vehemently holds the Syrian airstrikes to be threats of power aimed at North Korea, and vowed not to back down.
