“Switzerland says no
takers yet on offer to defuse Korea tensions”
This article explains
that Switzerland may become a negotiator in order to help loosen the tensions
between the United States and North Korea. Even though this article is rather
short, it still illustrates how the world is affected by tensions between other
states. The fact that another state that is not directly in the conflict is
potentially offering help to defuse the issue illustrates how certain conflicts
can affect others globally. The Swiss foreign ministry has made an offer to
mediate the rising tensions in the Korean peninsula similar to what they have
done after the Korean War. Even though the offer is there, Switzerland still
needs to enact the offer. The idea that the offer was made shows how other
states can be affected due to globalization and relationships with other
states.
