US drone pact revealed by former Pakistani president

I found an interesting article today detailing an drone pact between the United States and Pakistan. Pakistan's former president, General Pervez Musharraf admitted that there was a pact with the United States to allow drone strikes under a condition that "Only on a few occasions, when a target was absolutely isolated and no chance of collateral damage," said Musharraf. This is an interesting revelation when you see that Pakistan has condoned the use of drones on Pakistani territory and also protests quite often that the drone strikes in Pakistan are a clear violation of Pakistani sovereignty. Later in the article an high ranking security official who remained anonymous said that "We haven’t given any sort of permission to CIA in the last five-six years, and there is no past record or documented evidence indicating our consent to these strikes." From the context of this statement we can presume that he is Pakistani and is a high ranking security official. More importantly though there is plausible deniability being played here for security reasons which though is necessary, it would lead some to believe that there is more classified information that the public in both the United States and Pakistan are not aware of.
