The FBI rescued over 100 teenagers who were forced into sex trafficking rings. They uncovered and broke up several sex trafficking rings and arrested over 150 people on sex trafficking charges. The majority found were young teen girls but there were boys and some transgender teenagers too. The FBI did a similar stint last year where they rescued over 16o teenagers working as prostitutes. There goal is to get these teens out of this horrible nightmare and that they do not return to prostitution.
This is absolutely amazing! One of the reasons I am completely amazed by this story is because of how big the sex slave industry is and how it is a terrible problem all over the world. Even though these stints were all over the U.S. this can and will happen all over the world. I have so much hope that there will be many rescue stories like these from other countries.
The raids on these sex trafficking rings used about 500 different police agencies. It is amazing to see police agencies all over work together with the FBI and save so many kids.
