U.S. blocks some anti-drug funds for Mexico

The United States has cut 15% of the funding that they give to Mexico to help battle the war on drugs there. Mexico's government receives funding to help the human rights issues there but since there has been very little progress, the United States has decided to cut 15% of the funding that goes to the security and forces helping to stop the drug cartels. I think that this sends a huge message to Mexico. If they are going to be receiving funding to help them figure out their domestic problems, they need to make a bigger effort to change these human rights. Many people have been wrongfully tortured or killed this past year. The United States helps Mexico with this because it is supposed to help with the crazy amount of drug issues that are happening there, and in turn affecting the United States, such as with immigration and drugs being smuggled here as well. I think that it is good that they we made these cuts because it is such an issue there and it needs to be taken more seriously. They aren't just going to be handed money and not make any progress.
