Planning Helps Mexico Avoid Major Problems From Hurricane Patricia

This article talks about Hurricane Patricia and how people have avoided it from having major consequences. According to the article, luckily there has been no deaths yet from Hurricane Patricia.  Authorities have done a good job of warning local residents, through announcements on radio, television, and social media. He said they have also done good work in evacuating people ahead of the storm. Also, what was important too was that people responded to the calls that the authorities were making to them. That was what went wrong in Hurricane Katrina back in 2005, people did not evacuate in time and thats why more than 1,800 people died. Also, according to the article, after the storm, the roads and highways were cleared out in a very quick time. This has brought good results after Hurricane Patricia hit Mexico. I think that people have been lucky but also acting in time has been a huge part of being safe during the hurricane.
