Once again, North Korea is making headlines. This time, they've hosted a large military parade to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the ruling party. Furthermore, Kim Jong-un once again made some vaguely threatening statements, "the party's revolutionary armament means we are ready to fight any kind of war waged by the US imperialists." Pyongyang is also continuing to make claims that their nuclear program is progressing - and that they've even created a nuclear warhead capable of being mounted on a missile.
North Korea makes these sorts of headlines so often, it's becoming hard to take them seriously. They say that they have an army capable of defeating the United States in war, but everyone knows that that's just not possible. They're using military technology that has long been obsolete, and they only have one ally, China. And while China is a powerful ally to have, it's unlikely China will come to their defense should they be the ones to initiate conflict.
