Cyber-attack: Europol says it was unprecedented in scale

In the last week, a massive cyber-attack has hit countries all over the world, including Russia, the United States, and France.  This cyber-attack was conducted over all seven continents.  Major services and systems were hit with this attack including the UK's National Health Service, and Europol also warned that an international investigation was required to identify the individuals who conducted the attack.  At least 75,000 computers in 99 countries were hit on Friday, May 12, which the ransomware encrypted all data on the computers and demanded payments to regain access.  Out of all countries that were hit, it seems that the European countries received the worst of the attack.
