Head of Islamic State in Afghanistan killed

According to Afghanistan's President Ashraf Ghani, Abdul Hasib successor to Hafiz Saeed Khan in the role of Afghanistan's Islamic State leader, was killed by the region's special forces in an operation on Sunday.
Hasib accepted the role after his predecessor was killed in a 2016 U.S. Drone strike, and is held responsible for several attacks and bombings in Kabul.
