Germany’s Merkel says Europe Must Take Destiny Into its Own Hands

After the G-7 meet in Sicily tempers haven’t subsided as president Trump takes to the world stage, and this brief article makes that perfectly clear as Angela Merkel expresses her displeasure post meeting. Expressing that the time has come for Europe to take their destiny into their own hand and that the EU can no longer completely rely on is allies, namely the U.S. and the U.K., in a move that further demonstrates increased tensions between the world leaders. And, while the Pairs Climate Agreement remains in limbo, awaiting support from president Trump, this article make clears that the directions on international relations is not.
