French Election Results

After an election cycle that shockingly resembled the 2016 U.S. presidential election, centrist Emmanuel Macron won by a landslide, receiving just about double the votes of Le Pen.  This article breaks down the voting demographics of France and shows which regions supported which candidate as well as corresponding to the unemployment rate.  It was also noteworthy to read that this was France's lowest voter turnout since 1969.  It was interesting to learn about the political climate of France and how Le Pen received more support this cycle than her father did when he ran in 2002.
