Decoding the Trump-Turnbull Handshake

After mentioning in class on Friday how Australia is never mentioned much in world news, I found a story worth reading.  On May 5, President Trump met the Prime Minister of Australia, Malcolm Turnbull.  Trump is known for his aggressive, pull-you-down hand shakes; so, when Turnbull didn't receive one of these, Australia was off put.  They, along with political analysts, contemplated if there was a hidden meaning behind the shake.  Throughout the meeting, Trump appeared very comfortable while Turnbull seemed nervous or perhaps unsure.  Turnbull put in great effort to find common ground with President Trump.  As time went on, the two got more comfortable with each other, and Trump even spoke highly of Turnbull.  Despite the awkwardness of their time together, it is safe to say the U.S. and Australia are on good terms.
