Gaddafi killed as Libya's revolt claims hometown

"Gaddafi, the former Libyan leader dies of wounds suffered on Thursday as Fighters battling to complete an eight-month-old uprising against his rule overran his hometown in Sirte, Libya's interim rulers said."

He was captured near Sirte, he died shortly after that. Gaddafi was captured and then wounded in both legs when he tired to run away with a convoy that NATO attacked.

Gaddafi was said to be found in a hole yelling "Don't shoot, don't shoot"

Now that he is gone Libya needs to begin making a new democratic system.
