Terrorist Leader Al-Awlaki's Son Killed in Drone Attack

Two weeks after Anwar al-Awlaki was killed in a U.S. drone attack in southern Yemen, his son, another al-Qeada militant, was killed in a similar mission that also marked the deaths of 7 other suspected militants in the region. Anwar was a well-known military cleric that was born in the United States, but eventually became a prominent al-Qaeda leader. Both al-Awlaki's were part of the al-Qaeda movement in the Arabian Peninusla, and President Obama hailed the death of the elder al-Awlaki as a major blow to the terror group. What makes this story of extra signficance past just the part of the death of a high up terrorist leader, is the fact that the senior al-Awlaki was a natural born U.S. citizen who was targeted and killed by the U.S. government without any form of trial. Those his terrorist ties are well documented, it still raises pertinent questions on whether the U.S. government should be able to target one of their own citizens. In this case, considering the damages al-Qaeda has caused across the world, and in the U.S. itself, the answer in my opinion is yes.
