High Radiation Levels in Japan

In Tokyo, high levels of radiation have been found, but according to officials, the radiation is not related to the nuclear power plant disaster in Fukushima. According to the science minister of Japan, the radiation was located in the basement of a house in a residential area. Although this could be dangerous and harmful for residents, they have been assured that radiation levels are not to cause health problems. The location of the radiation levels were also near a school, but the radiation levels they would get would be about 17 millisieverts, whereas the Japanese government's line is 20 millisieverts. At least 300, 000 children are receiving health checks in order to make sure they are healthy after having prolonged exposure to the radiation.
