Yemen and the Domino Effect

Violence escalates in Yemen as anti-government protestors are continually targeted by violence acts from the Yemen Republican Guard. The anti-government movement has begun to push their marches and protests out of the cordoned off section of the city and the result is an increased level of violence. The death toll has risen with 5 individuals killed yesterday along with 54 wounded. Among the individuals killed was Aziza Othman Kaleb, a 20 year old woman. Reports say that she was killed by a government sniper with a shot to the head. The United States State Department is urging President Ali Abdullah Saleh to sign the transfer of power that the people have been requesting inorder to stop the flow of violence. No one knows if Saleh will sign the transfer of power but if one thing is becoming more evident it is that Saleh will not remain in power for much longer.
