The French Socialist Party has chosen its candidate, Francios Hollande, to run against Nicolas Sarkozy in the next presidental election during 2012. Mr. Hollande announced that he would champion with those who can "no longer bear" Mr. Sarkozy's policies. While speaking in Paris he addressed many issues facing the French. These include unemployment, job secruity, high rents, and health care becoming less accessible. He also noted on concerns for the future, failures of globization and Europe, as well as the enviroment. He hopes to instill new plans for France and offer its youth a better life. He said he will be the candidate or respect and dialogue. Although Nicolas Sarkozy has not formally decleared his bid, polls suggest Hollande could beat him with a lead of 55% to 44% currently. This also marks the first time France took part in a U.S. style primary race with 2.7 million voters.
