500 Protesters Arrested in New York

On Saturday October 1st 5oo protesters were arrested in on the Brooklyn Bridge in New York. People were protesting against corporate greed, global warming, and social inequality. Police told protesters to stay out of the streets and in designated pedestrian areas but they swarmed the streets causeing traffic to come to a stop for several hours. Protest have been going on for two weeks now on Wall Street and have been supported by other cities such as Boston and Los Angeles. Most of the people arrested were charged with disorderly conduct while others were charged with resisting arrest.
