The police say that the fire of the Mosque in northern Israel was indeed an arson attack. The mosque was seriously damaged. It was located in an area that previously was known to be peaceful. The attack on this mosque was linked to a series of other attacks as part of a campaign by radical settlers for violence against settlers. After hearing about the attack, around 200 villagers began to march in protest before they were stopped by police officers who were attempting to calm the riot with tear gas. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said these attacks have no place in the state of Israel. There is an investigation underway, however no charges have currently been made against the attackers.
