Last month there were 17 missionaries who were kidnapped in Haiti, five of them being children. They were kidnapped by a Haitian gang in October. It is suspected that a gang named 400 Mawozo are the abductors, and the FBI has made negotiations with them to release the captives. 16 of the captives were American, and one was Canadian. They were on a trip to an orphanage when this happened. Haiti is currently experiencing an increase in gang related kidnappings, and many of them are doing it to make ransom money.
