After the recent coup that happened in Sudan, Sudan’s chief officer Lt. Gen. Abdel Fattah al-Burhan has officially appointed himself as the new president. A lot of anti-coup protestors have been raising their voices and protesting in major cities. On top of this, the western countries, as well as the UN, have demanded in frustration for the actions to be reversed. Although General al-Burhan promised to return power once the insurrections are over, western countries are forcing him to give up as soon as possible by threatening to cause an economic crisis all over Sudan.
