The World Health Organization reported that the Covid-19 deaths in Europe increased by 10% in the past week. This is the 6th week in a row that cases have been rising in Europe. On the other hand, total Coronavirus cases have declined by 4% across the world. Covid-19 deaths in Southeast Asia and Africa have declined by 1/3, even with the lack of vaccines in those areas. The WHO's Europe director said that Europe is at the center of the pandemic again, and they need to take action to slow the spread of the virus or they will see more unnecessary deaths.
