Afghanistan: Taliban unveil new rules banning women in TV dramas

Adding onto the long list of oppressive rules the Taliban have set in place while being at the head of Afghanistan, women can now no longer be in drama television shows. Female journalists have already been forced to wear headscarves, now this new rule has put fear into the women of Afghanistan of future oppressive rules. These are not the only guidelines the Taliban have put in place regarding television, however. Films that are determined to be against Sharia law are banned, as well as foreign films that promote different values. All these oppressive guidelines can only make one wonder how much longer this can go on before someone steps in and puts an end to this North Korean-like way of living.
