On September 25th, North Korea launched a missile toward the eastern seas. The missile was fired while a U.S. aircraft landed in South Korea to join its military in exercises. The South Korean president called a National Security Council meeting to address the missile as a violation of U.N. Security Council resolutions. This threat will also be discussed during U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris's visit to South Korea next week.
North Korea has rejected any communication about nuclear diplomacy from the U.S. and South Korea. This action from North Korea has heightened South Korea's growing concern about nuclear war. Even though North Korea's intentions are unclear its nuclear technology continues to grow, forcing the U.N. to proceed with caution.
