A conflict between the Tigrayan region and federal forces has been going on for nearly two years in Ethiopia. In June, the Ethiopian government formed a committee to make negotiations with the Tigrayan forces, and the African Union welcomed the announcement that the Tigrayan region's forces are accepting an immediate ceasefire. The United Nations is also interested in seeing what happens next.
