Attack in Nigeria Leave 19 Dead

Today, at least 19 people were attacked and killed with guns and machetes. Witnesses said around 150 people raided the village of Lingyado in the state of Zamfara. At least 6 others were wounded and are now being treated at the hospital. When the shooting began, residents took cover in the nearby cornfields. Sadly enough, one witnessed said that his home was targeted first and he watched his grand-daughter and daughter-in-law be killed. Police believe the attack was in response to a similar attack in August. BBC'c correspondent Jonah Fisher said the victims were attacked as the left their homes. Security forces were sent to restore order.
