Yemen President said 'to step down within days'

President Ali Abdullah Saleh has said he will step down as president in the coming days. He refused to sign a transition several times back in March to hand over power to his vice president. He made the news public in a broadcast on state television, his first interview since late September. Since January, protesters have camped outside the states capital of Sanaa demanding that Saleh step down. Although Saleh would be stepping down during multiple security challenges like al-Qaeda invasions in the south and political factions are fighting. Recent Nobel Peace prize winner Tawakkul Karman stated that Saleh's words can not be trusted and guaranteed that protests will continue. For the sake of Yamen, I hope that the President does step down because if the violence continues, a civil war is bound to happen.
