10 People Were Killed By A Female Suicide Bomber In Nigeria

In Damaturu, Nigeria, 10 people were killed and 30 other people were injured on a crowded bus today. A terrorist group has not yet declared responsibility for the attack, but the group Boko Haram seems to be responsible for it. This terrorist group has recently started to use females as suicide bombers. The explosive went off at 1 pm. The female bomber was able to go through security without anyone noticing that she had a bomb. Witnesses claimed the bomber to look around 16 years old. Damaturu, Nigeria has been an area highly affected by terrorist activity. Many people have been killed by these horrible acts of violence. As Nigeria tries to fight back against the terrorists, attacks have started to become more prevalent in the neighboring countries of Cameroon, Chad, and Niger. Boko Haram, the most popular terrorist group in Africa, has halted Nigeria's national election. Nigeria's current President, Goodluck Jonathan, has continually lost popularity because he has not kept the citizens safe against the terrorist group. Boko Haram has told citizens not to vote, and if they do, their lives will be at risk.

Terrorist groups around the world are becoming out of control. People cannot even get on a bus without having fear that they are going to be killed by terrorists. Elections are being affected and there is not much that can be done to stop these horrible acts of violence. Democracy is going to be hard to achieve when there are terrorist groups active in the area. Boko Haram's leader, Abubakar Shekau has stated that democracy was "un-Islamic." As the area between state and religion becomes smaller, terrorist groups are becoming more active.
