35 Killed in Nigerian Market Explosion

Thirty-five persons were killed on February 12th by Boko Haram terrorists. This total fatality amount tallies from attacks in three different Borno communities in Nigeria: Biu, Alkideow, and Mbuta. In a supermarket in Biu, a deadly bomb went off that injured 21 people and killed 15. A resident of the town said it was a suicide bomber. What really stands out and is extremely haunting is that this is the first suicide bomb mission since the commencement of the Boko Haram insurgency. Another twenty persons were killed in the other two towns. Instead of suicide bombing, this terrorist group rode into town early in the morning on motorcycles and gunned down civilians in the villages. The fatality count is only rising, as many innocent persons are sustaining severe injuries and cannot make it out alive. I hope these towns find peace and strength during this difficult and deadly time. Innocent people do not deserve to die.
