Boko Haram lead an attack on the city of Diffa Saturday night which lasted till 5 in the morning. The Boko Haram were eventually pushed out of the city but later that same day, the Boko Haram bombed a pepper market in the city which was an attraction to foreign trade. From the bombing one person was killed and six more were injured. These continued attacks against Niger by Boko Haram have lead the government to call for more manpower. They are looking for up to 8,750 people to combat the Boko Haram. Many in Niger are happy for this and have marched through streets to demonstrate their support for the military and decision of the government.
