Danish capital on high alert

15 Feb 2015. One man is killed and two police officers are wounded in an attack on a Jewish synagogue in Copenhagen. This actually comes hours after a shooting attack on a cage in northern Copenhagen following a hosted debate on the issue of freedom of speech. The event at the cafe was attended by Swedish artist Lars Vilks, known for his cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad. At the moment, police are unsure whether or not the synagogue attack is related to the cafe shooting. So far, at least one man is dead and three police officers are wounded after shots were fired at Krudttoenden Cafe.

Police have confirmed that Lars Vilks was the target for the attack, and that the French ambassador to Denmark was also in attendance at the time of the shooting. Reports say that the ambassador was not injured.
