U.S. Senators Do Not Want American Troops Fighting Isis

United States Senators Ted Cruz and Tim Kaine have stated that they do not want American Troops on the ground fighting Isis. Both of them do not want to see anymore American lives killed fighting terrorist groups. There are already troops fighting ISIS on the ground- the Kurds' Peshmerga. Senator Cruz stated, "We have the availability of overwhelming air power, and we have the boots on the ground that are ready and eager to fight--the Peshmerga--and they lack sufficient tools and equipment to do so." Senator Cruz believes that the Peshmerga is our troops on the ground fighting ISIS. We need to support them and guide them in the fight against ISIS.

Terrorism around the world has seemed to increase over the past 10 years. The battle between Islamic jihadists and non Islamics needs to end. While it is going to be very hard to end, this battle needs to be over to save innocent lives. The world needs to be persistent in fighting the war on terrorism and not let up. While I do believe American troops fighting Islam needs to be the last resort in the war against terrorism, American support still needs to be offered. With the guidance of the American government and military, the fight against terrorism can be stopped.
