President Sebastian Piñera of Chile will not resign even though many Chileans are protesting against the government. The protests were originally against metro fare hikes in the city of Santiago but have turned into general anti-government demonstrations. Piñera is criticized because the Chilean forces have used excessive force on protestors. He has since made changes within the cabinet to appease protestors but the protestors are still unsatisfied with Piñera's work and call on him to resign. His approval ratings have dropped to a mere 14%.
