Hong Kong protests: up to 800 trapped as police lay siege to university

800 protestors are currently trapped in Polytechnic University. The university has been one of the staging grounds for demonstrators and protestors this week in Hong Kong's continued fight against China's authority. As of last night Sunday, via a Facebook post from the student union of the university, stated that Hong Kong police have blocked the exits of the university essentially trapping some 800 protestors inside. The protestors have prevented Hong Kong police from pushing into the building using petrol bombs and arrows, while Hong Kong police have prevented protestors escape firing tear gas and water cannoning any who attempt to flee. The growing concern is that the trapped protestors are running out of supplies and some are suffering from injuries as a result of the police.https://www.theguardian.com/world/2019/nov/18/hong-kong-protests-up-to-800-trapped-as-police-lay-siege-to-university
