Leaked Files Expose Chinas Organized Mass Detentions of Muslims -Sierra Perez

In the article "Absolutely No Mercy: Leaked Files Expose How China Organized Mass Detentions of Muslims" by Austin Ramzy and Chris Buckley there has been leaked files exposing how China deliberately organized mass detentions of Muslims which included over 400 pages of internal Chinese documents intended to crackdown on ethnic minorities. Students that attended school internationally had come home to almost all of their relatives gone in detention camps. The authorities in Xinjiang region worried of the situation and directed the local authorities to corner the students as soon as they arrived to help keep them quiet. The officials called the camps "training schools set up by the government" and that their behavior could "either shorten or extend the detention of their relatives". The government has fought international criticism by saying these camps are job training centers meant to fight Islamic extremism. The papers were leaked baby a member of the Chinese political establishment who requested anonymity but it was unclear how the documents were gathered to be selected. I think its really interesting to see how other countries are going to respond to these documents and how its going to effect more riots from the Chinese people.
